Pours a huge frothy brownish head that dissipates to a very thin coating. Has a dark, almost pitch black appearance. Lacing is surprisingly thin, but still sticky. Aromas of chocolate, sweet malts and a bit raspberry pokes through. Flavours are a mixture of the chocolate and raspberry, complementing each other nicely. No sign of a salty like pretzel taste, but a bit of a bready malt and yeasty hint flavour in there. Quite a smooth and light creamy mouthfeel.

My third brew in the Voodoo Donut series. Pours a brown colour, looks hazy through the highlights. Fizzy beige head that disappears quickly, leaving minimal lacing that disappears... leaving nothing. Beautiful sweet nose of raspberry jam with notes of chocolate, roasted malts and some hops. The taste is not as sweet, as the roasted malts and hops cover the berry juices. Hints of chocolate in the background. Brewed with pretzel, but not much signs of them. More felt in the mouthfeel, which is nice with a little tartiness. Still, a real good fruity-chocolaty beer. The better one so far.

The beer pours a solid dark brown with a long lasting dark tan coloured head. The aroma is mjolasses, roasted malt, The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with a below average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, raspberry (turkish delight), and weak pretzel notes. Far weaker that the Maple Doughnut beer of 2012.

Pours a deep, reddish coffee brown with a thick and rather persistent tan head. Aroma has strong notes of chocolate and raspberry (I LOVE raspberry!) plus a hint of malt. Chocolate and raspberry dominate the flavor, which includes hints of roast malt, quality coffee and toffee. Didn’t get any pretzel, though. Texture seems rather thin, and fizz is light; however, this is the beer’s weakest point, and a so-so mouthfeel hardly hurts a good beer. I must admit that I was not too impressed by the first two Voodoo Doughnut beers, but this one is definitely the best of the lot.
