Pours a hazy apricot with a thick and fluffy, if not persistent, eggshell head. Strong aroma is yeasty and fruity, the latter mainly pear with a hint of sour orange. Flavor is quite sour, grapefruit being the dominant note with pear, yeast, malt, and bitter woody hops for backup singers. Texture is smooth and fairly firm, if not overly fizzy, leaving a nice grapefruit and subtly malty finish.

Pours a cloudy golden color. A two finger white head forms, but recedes quickly leaving some decent lace. The nose is really mild. Banana, and clove with a hint of funk. Flavors of banana and cloves up front and light funk. Finishes with a bit of pepper, and lemon. A light body and prickly carbonation with a dry finish. Overall its ok, my expectations were high, too high, maybe.

Tap @Churchills: I suppose it's possible to be let down by a really good beer when that brewer routinely hits em out of the park, and then you "only" get a double. This is a very light sessionable saison with hints of pepper and citrus, but all very very light. Not bad at all, just had to work for it. I'd get it again if Prairie beers were cheaper.
