Hazy copper colour pour with a big fizzy head that dissipates too quick. not bad lacing. Sweet and flowery. Apples and pears. Well carbonated but smooth. Ok if you like that sort of stuff but too sweet for me.

A recent find at Ontario liquor stores, and certainly not in the same class as the brune. It pours a hazed light rust colour with a generous beige cap. Lots of yeast in the aroma with hints of fruit and spices. Flavour is similar with the grain and yeast dominating, and the fruit tones in the background. Would not buy again.

Pours a thick frothy off-white head and has a hazy, slightly murky appearance. Fairly weak lace. Aromas of resin and herbal hops, and a bit yeasty. Flavours of toffee, dark malts, dry fruit (plums, raisins) mild spices, hints of brown sugar. Smooth and silky mouthfeel. Pretty good.

SAQ special import with a best before date of 22/08/2015. Pours a hazy rich amber colour with a big frothy warm head, good retention and thick creamy lacing. Nutty yeast aromas at first pour, but then, mild sourness with notes of citrus and alcohol. Caramel eventually comes. The taste starts off with a tad sourness but goes into the caramel malt. The sweetness is well-balanced by the yeast. Again, hints of nuts with some grass in the finish. The mouthfeel is smooth with no burning and hardly any warming. I think this is the most caramel I have had in a Belgian ale. Pretty nice overall.

The beer pours a light copper colour, murky, with a very thin white head. Aroma is tart fruit, funk, yeast, and some fruit notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet, yeasty, with some tart funky notes in the mix. Not on par with the better Abbaye des Rocs BSAs.

Pours a copper amber with a huge huge head. Sweet aroma, flavor is full and round with apparent yeast, bread, fruit, and sugar. Mothfeel has a bit of alcohol bite, but all around very nice.

Sampled RBESG 2006, bottle. Hazy amber colour. Lovely vinous aroma with notes of barnyard. Funky and moderately oaky flavour. This is a very good beer.

Nice pale ambercolour with some haze. Big, dense head. Lively carbonation with a strong fruity aroma of pineapples and honey. Taste is smooth and fruity, honey and tropical fruit. The alcohol stays in the background with a peppery tone.
