Stirring from the haze of winter, this refreshing unfiltered White Ale awakens its smooth wheat with the bright snap of spring spices. From the subtle sweetness of orange peel and plum to the peppery bite of fresh ground coriander, the blend of spices creates just the right refreshing kick to signal that spring is on its way.

This beer gets straight 7's. This was a pretty good wit beer. I had this at Brambleton Deli in Roanoke, VA. The color was hazy dark yellow. The beer had a nice fruity taste to it. Very nice.

Pours a hazy solar yellow with a thick and fluffy eggshell head. Aroma is not strong, but tempts with fruity and coriander hints. Flavor has fruity, spicy, coriander and citrus notes, not strong but still pleasing. Mouthfeel has average viscosity but a nice fizz. Not Sammy’s best, but refreshing. Good with a meal.

pours a very hazy yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a small white head that died down, leaving a large patch of bubbles in the center of the glass and a dense collar around the edge. The aroma is plums along with hints of orange peels. The taste is similar to the aroma, the taste has flavors of plums and orange peel along with notes of wheat and hints of spices. The mouthfeel is a bit shy of medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.

Just wasn't a fan.... nothing wrong with it - really, the flavors just didn't mesh well. Sort of wheaty and spicy in aroma and flavor. Medium-bodied with a thin head.

    12oz bottle -

Aroma - light citrus, coriander, cloves and yeast

Appearance - hazy light golden body, frothy 2-finger head, nice retention, light lacing

Mouthfeel - light-medium bodied, medium carbonation,

Flavor - light citrus, crackery/bready malts, spices the dominate flavor here, but a strange off flavor also present

Overall - another so-so beers in Sam Adams repertoire. That are far better witbiers available to most markets, so I can't really recommend this one.

On tap at Sir John A in Ottawa. Pours a small foamy white head. Has a cloudy golden/yellowish appearance. Dirty lacing. Aromas of citrus hops and light pineapple notes. Huge citrus flavours, quite zesty with some lemony lime notes as well as hints of grapefruit. Sort of a mango like taste in the finish. Refreshing and crisp mouthfeel with a slight, faint warming sensation. Made for summertime patio relaxation.

On tap at Berryman. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a nice creamy white cap and good thick creamy lacing. Spicy nose, kind of Christmasy. There is a smooth candy cane-like aroma with oranges and hints of honey, tangerine. Gets much better as it warms up. Refreshing with a little stickiness. Quite tasty with the spices (maybe light cinnamon), mild fruity oranges and very mild Belgian Ale yeast. Took my a while to try and put my finger on what I felt all around. It was candy like the Popeye cigarettes. I quite like this twist on a witbier.

Poured a golden orange body with minimal head and lace with a decent witbier aroma of minor citric hops/spice and touches of yeast. Beer is smooth and easy to drink but too simplistic to be a great wit (more commercialized). The spice and coriander are minimal on the edges to add a little oomph to the citric flavors and it finishes light and with a crisp edge. Not a bad beer and there were touches of sweetness at times in the beer.

Thin white head witha cloudy golden yellow color. Mininal aroma and mild spiciness to it with citrus tones. Really a lackluster offering from Sam Adams. No need to have this one again.

New beer in the Spring 2014 Variety Pack. Pretty much a relabeled, slightly altered version of White Christmas. A cloudy medium yellowish-white appearance. Aroma is kind of sour and off. Flavor is ok and refreshing.....Belgian wheaty with some light spice. Not really a big fan of the white seasonals in this style....same thing with the summer ale.
