Has a small foamy white head and has a clean straw/light golden appearance. Aromas of light grains and wheats, malty. Very mild citrus hop scent as well. A bit grassy and some orange in the finish. Grainy and bready malt flavours with some light grassy notes. Slightly sweet, some mild nutty malts and sort of has that corn taste like many other lagers. Pretty lively carbonation and astringent mouthfeel. Fair/light bodied. Not too bad and refreshing lager but still fairly average.

Was surprise to see this one in an Ottawa LCBO (as 416 is a Toronto area code - and we all know how we feel about that in Canada's Nation Capital :). Pours a hazy light golden colour with a white head that gives out nice dirty lacing. Great fresh spicy wheat nose (which surprised me also, coming from Amsterdam). Pretty good for a light beer with a refreshing wheat mouthfeel. Grainy flavours with soft hops in the finish. I see lots of resemblance to Steam Whistle, hints of the same thing in the smell and taste. Even the nice simple bottle presentation is close to its competition. Not as good as SW, but better than most Amsterdam brews. The plus for this one is the unfiltered aspect. Great for the warm days we are having right now - and hockey playoffs are still on.

Wow this is not at all what I expected. The impression I got was a beer brewed with Saaz hops and wheat yeast, which is very different Imagine Mill Street Pilsner or Steam Whistle brewed with wheat. Very hoppy and wheaty at the same time. This would make a very good summer beer. The only disappointing thing was the head which was thin and poor.

Beer was tried as Amsterdam 416 Urban Wheat. The beer poured a clear gold colour with a slight haze and almost no head. The aroma was wheat, grass, and some floral hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was wheat and some mild citrus.

Had this at the brewery in the spring. Colour - hazy medium gold colour, white head that lingers. Aroma - grains, spices, floral hops. Mouthfeel - medium. Flavour - mellow grains, with a small hop bite at the end. Overall - decent.

Poured a hazy gold....weak heading does not last long, spritzy carbonation...average palate, not dry but not overly malty either. A nice balanced blend of hop and wheat and biscuit malts with a quick clean finish. Unoffensive not bland but average. A serviceable domestic rendition of a Berliner Wiess
