Comes out of the bottle a rich coffee brown, just a skeezix or two above black, with a very thick and rather persistent tan head. Aroma has strong roast malt, semi-sweet chocolate, hay and earthy tones. Flavor has a nice malty core that supports coffee, chocolate, nutty, earthy, and subtle hoppy tones. Texture, though, leaves a bit to be desired, lacking viscosity but having decent fizz and leaving a lip-smacking mocha finish. Genuine thunder from the udders!
