Poured out a brownish red color with a thin head. The aroma is interesting almost smells like a barley wine. The mouthfeel is thin but the taste is all whiskey and molasses and oak.

Lots of whiskey on the nose, with some wood and sweet malts coming through as well. A little hot, but not to a fault. Medium bodied (especially for such a strong brew) with ample carbonation. Flavor is whiskey dominant as well, vanilla, oak, semi-sweet, quite a bit warming. Definitely a solid sipper. Thank you Hannah.

Released this week. I was rightfully excited to try this new creation by Prairie Artisan Ales. Pours dark brown with small head. The aroma is intoxicating: different from any ale I've ever smelled. Sweet malt notes are complemented by fine unlit tobacco and wood. I sniffed it about 20 times before I had a sip just to try to figure out what is going on. Hearty malt, molasses, vanilla, and oak make for a huge flavor. FULL bodied, gently carbonated with serious warming affect. Best offering yet from this label (and thats saying something.). I absolutely love it and I am definitely putting one to the cellar to age a bit.
