http://prairieales.blogspot.com/2013/01/prairie-somewhere.html#!/2013/01/prairie-somewhere.html Today we are brewing our Florida inspired Saison. This beer will be brewed to have a big citrus flavor. Cascade and Citra hops, zest, and oranges are all in the mix. We are brewing this in collaboration with Saint Somewhere out of Florida. They are also distributed by the Shelton Brothers. Saint Somewhere brews world-class saisons. It's an honor to be working with them.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7

Pours hazy, translucent apricot with a decent eggshell head. Aroma has firm evergreen wood and sour fruit notes. Flavor is mainly sour fruit and fresh-cut evergreen wood with a subtle malty undertone. Texture is fairly firm and fairly fizzy. Look for it somewhere.

Pours a hazy straw color, with a finger or so of fizzy white head that dissipates immediately leaving no lace behind. The aroma is light, yeasty fruit, light berry, slightly acetic, touches of lemony funk, straw and grain. The flavors are nice, more grain and farmhouse character, light berry and lemongrass. The body is moderately carbonated, coats the mouth well and finishes with a bit of a fizzy bite.An interesting beer, worth trying for anyone who likes a sour or a farmhouse.
