We only turn 25 once, and to celebrate, we brewed a rich imperial stout with cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, and cherry purée. First of four in our series, it pours a deep, dark black with a mocha brown head that gradually retreats to the edges of the glass. A strong chocolate aroma arises, followed by sweet malt and mild tart cherry. The full, dense mouthfeel yields a malty sweetness followed by chocolate, cherry, and vanilla flavors, then finishes with a slight alcohol warmth, leaving roasted malt and chocolate notes until the next sip. Enjoy this beer with rich, chocolatey desserts: chocolate cheese cake, cherry chocolate devils food cake, or just a chunk of dark chocolate.

I don't know how I kept from drinking this earlier. Too many choices maybe? Anyway... Near black pour with a short tan head and lazy lacing throughout. Rich nose and palate of chocolates, roasted malts, hint of molasses and java, cherries!(bonus), vanilla, more rich chocolates, whiff of smoke. Deep and rich flavors, medium bodied, decadent. Thank you so very much PfoxyJohn. More please.

Ebony blackness in color with a three fingered tight bubbled foamy textured dark tan head rising above. The hang time is impressive enough. A thin ringlet is left behind. The nose is intense, burnt roastiness. The tasting kicks that up even further with notes of coffee complementing the bittering chocolate. Medium bodied and creamy. A just dessert.

I've seen engine oil that hasn't been changed in 3 decades lighter than this one. Pours a complete black with a sub one finger chocolate color head that goes away fairly quick. Aroma is actually fairly mild but distinct. Hints of dark malts with a very noticeable booziness. Body is extremely creamy. Taste is roasted with hints of dark chocolate and booze. Has a hint of something that reminded me of the dog shampoo I use on my mutt. Finishes off surprisingly fizzy. Burns a little on the way down. High quality brew here.

Comes out of the bottle a rich, warm sable with a thick and fairly persistent dark tan head. Smoky aroma has firm tones of quality coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, burnt hops and licorice. Flavor delights with notes of chocolate, coffee, roast malt, caramel and licorice plus subtle earthy and nutty hints. It is a bit sweet, but not cloying. Thick, smooth texture is none too fizzy, but still leaves a nice tingle. Very satisfying and lip-smacking. Grab a few since this is a limited edition.
