Nothing is more evocative of summer than the beautiful aroma of flowers, and the favored flowers of brewers are hops. Our brand new summer ale, Fleur de Houblon (Hop Flowers), is brewed to bring the many elements of summer into a refreshing and easy-to-drink Belgian-style ale. Fleur de Houblon is a rich gold color with distinct floral hops in the aroma that follow through in the taste. Whole-cone Bravo hops are used to impart their earthy, fruity, and floral aromas and flavors. The body and flavor are clean and dry, with pleasing complexity and spicy notes from both primary and secondary fermentation with our unique Ommegang house yeast

Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a nice ivory head. Sweet fruit, mostly apple and pear, dominates the aroma, which has a malty undertone and floral hints. Flavor starts with a malty core and adds fruity, floral and subtle yeasty notes on a somewhat sweet and slightly hoppy taste. Smooth texture has OK thickness and fizz. Like flowers in your mouth? Get on the outside of a crater.

Damn - they did it again. Hazy yellow, ginormous head. Their bpa is one of my favorites in the style and this follows suit. A cross between a hoppy bpa and a Saison. Pepper, earthy hops, floral aroma, yeasty yet light and refreshing. Delicious, and growing on me w each sip. I hate to have another beer to need more of, but its a good problem to have.

Yellow pour with a huge frothy white head, even after a slooooowww pour; tons of lacing. Very floral and earthy nose and palate, nicely spiced with a black pepper-like aroma and flavor, very very easy to drink, quiet refreshing on a hot evening. Another winner from the Ommegang Gang.

How do you tell a Saison from a Belgian Pale? I surely don't know. Initial nose is flowers/spring meadow. After a moment some lemon and clove. A very pale yellow and continually effervescent body is topped by a huge rocky white head that lasts and lasts and leaves wonderful lace. Mouth is on the light side of medium bodied, nice and tingly and a bit slippery. Really tastes like Saison duPont to me but turned down just a notch. There is lemon, a hint of clove (but NOT cloying) some yeasty flavor in towards the end taste and the finish is quite hoppy but only moderately bitter, the hops are peppery in the end. There is a bit a grass right at the end but the palette is left quite clean. Yup, I love this brew!

Big billowing white head on top of a clear golden-yellow body with intense carbonation and leaving behing wonderful layers of lacing. Spritzy and light with a bubbly tickle. Firm bitterness and a very clean finish, a touch overcarbonated for my liking though. Earthy/spicy floral bouquet, with a lemon-citrus zest. Grassy and fruity followed by a firm hop profile. Delicate and soft, yet assertive and complex all at once. Well executed offering.....bring on the sunshine!
