Part of their mixed pack on my trip to Maine. Seems to be called Harvest Barn Ale now. Pours a clear brown colour with a nice creamy beige head that is everlasting and with lacing. Beautiful coffee aromas. Roasted malt with some nice bitterness and hints of yeast. A good roasted malty brew for harvest.

Presentation: It was poured from tap into a pint glass. Appearance: It had a medium reddish brown color with good clarity and a thin just off white colored head. The head hangs on and leaves nice lacing on the glass. Smell: Its aroma has hints of lightly toasted sweet malts with some mild floral and leafy hops. Taste/Mouth feel: The flavor was for me a little light but nicely balanced for the style. It has a nice malty presence with just enough hops for balance and character. The body had a smooth medium body with average carbonation. Notes: Over all its very good but I would like it to have a little bit deeper, more assertive flavor.

Great tasting ale. Appeared a deep brown, with a dark chocolaty aroma and decent head. Taste was malty and bitter, but a full roasted flavor. Thick and almost creamy sensation. Good brew and will have again.

Poured an Auburn brown with fluffy tan head and good lacing. The aroma was a mix of malt and hops which had to grow on you. The taste was smooth and pleasent with the bite of the hops being balanced out quite well. Overall an attractive smooth drinking ale

10.25.05 12oz bottle. Attractive pour, copper-amber with lasting, small beige head of fine bubbles. Aroma is sweet and malty with white toast, caramel candy wrapped in plastic, and ladles of diacetyl. Great, I bought a 6-pack of this and it’s a butter bomb. I try to take it in stride and tell myself it’s an English style ale, that some butter is acceptable. I’m fairly convinced and take a sip. Body is thin, slightly dry, moderately bitter, and diacetyl from middle to back. Lingering butter not only on finish but retronasal. I must be super sensitive to the stuff. I’ve got to say though, as butter bombs go, this is one of the more palateable I’ve tried. Definitely drinkable and balanced once I can get past the butter, this is a passable session brew.

Poured an amber color with a small, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits, copper, nuts, and sweet caramel malt. Taste was predominantly malty, caramel, brown sugar, some light diactyl, citrus fruitiness, and a long bitter finish.

Gift from SouthernCoronas. My palatte could not distinguish the 17 malt and hop varieties, but I can say they were artfully blended into one outstandingly complex and satisfying beer. Mahogany colored, and clear. Aroma is malty and oaky. Flavors are malt and caramel. Smooth body, with fresh-harvest hops providing a distinctively dry and mouthpuckering finish. Get some!

Now here is a beer i long for all year, and when it finally arrives, it is gone in an instant. I have had this beer in the bottle and on tap. The first shipment I got was very light and crisp. Malty, but with more of a crisp hop bite. I was unable to get it in my store so I went else where. For my birthday I got two logs of the stuff. It poured a beautiful golden amber brown color with an adequate head. Tasted malty, brown, and smooth, with a round and crisp and clean hop finish. I have had many bottles of it since, and am down to the last twelve cases of it in the store, and it doesn;t quite compare to the draught style, though it is tasty. Not a heavy malty and sweet bavarian celebration type lager, but a well balanced autumn ale, with malts, and thirst quenching hops. A great fall clean up thirst quencher, to help you get through blowing around those damned leaves. Long Trail Brewing Companies best effort in the opinion of your humble narrator.

This is a beer I have to have more of. Its almost like drinking a Newcastle. I blind tested the two side by side and although I picked the Newkie, I had to sit and think a very long time. It doesnt seem to have the alcohol content of a Newcastle but it was damn good. Kissmybass

This beer is hard to review. They claim that they have 17 different varieties of hops and malt in the brew. Poured a nice dark brown-amber color with a medium sized tan head. Adequate amount of lace but I wouldn't say it was a lot. The aroma is hard to detect. It's malty and maybe a little woody as well as grainy. The flavor is not as rich as the look, more malty than hoppy but both are there. The finish is slightly hoppy and dry. Very smooth beer but this is hard to judge. Maybe it's something you have to be in the mood for.
