Dark brown/ruby pour with a ring for head. Leaves some spotty lacing. Grape, caramel malt and metallic aroma. Tastes like an old ale with some odd flavours of leather, dirt and rust. Also has a more pleasant taste of toffee, dark fruit and chocolate. Will give it another try.

Pours a foamy head to start but goes away quickly. Dark brown appearance. Has aromas of dark fruits, nutty malts and resin hops. Flavours of plum and raisins, roasted malts and nuts. Also some resin and spice hops. Slight warming sensation. Smooth and silky mouthfeel. Not too bad overall, but definitely not one of my favourites from Amsterdam.

Single bomber from the LCBO. Pours a dark brown colour with some light debris floating around. The head is nice and frothy with a beige colour, good retention and creamy-foamy lace. Big coffee nose at first pour, but the plum and other dark fruits come out. Eventually, it becomes rusty water over caramel. Silky mouthfeel with a nice little warming, but no burning. Roasted malt taste with some mild bitterness, hints of chocolate and light cereals. Goes down nicely and decent to try, but not something I would have again.

The beer pours a translucent dark brown colour with reddish hints and a thin tan ring for a cap, which disappears quite quickly. The aroma is caramel, licorice, coffee and dark fruits. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Flavour starts off sweet with caramel and finishes with yeast, and coffee notes. Overpriced, but decent.
