Near black pour, tight sustained head, ample droopy lacing. Roasted malts, hint of coffee and cocoa, slight fruitiness, then a nice earthy and slightly spicy hops presence in the end. Very nice Porter.

This one is a winner and under two dollars. Pours deep dark brown with no head. The aroma is sweet with malt and chocolate notes. The mouthfeel is rich and full. The taste has a balanced hop, malt and chocolate flavors. Another fine beer by Left Hand .

Solid porter...had the nitro, cask, and co2 versions...all good, nitro the fav. Smooth as hell, pretty to look at. Light on the palate but with a more than adequate malted milk chocolate and roasted malt flavor.

pours a dark brown with an off white mocha like foam which leaves plenty of lacing down the glass. The armoa is of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, and vanilla emerge as a very nice aroma. The taste is bitter, unsweetened coffee flavor upfront, giving way to milk chocolate, burnt sugar, and dry cocoa. A bit of sweet vanilla comes out as it warms. The roasted malts and a ghost like hop provide enough bitterness to balance the beer. The mouthfeel is full bodied, velvety smooth, good level of moderate carbonation, lingering coffee and chocolate flavor. Note Stouts and Porters are my least favorite beer.

Shared bottle at local tasting. 5.8% ABV. Black colour, moderate beige head. Malty aroma, notes of caramel and chocolate, mild roasty notes. The flavour has much the same elements as the aroma, but is a bit too sweet.

It pours a dark brownish-red with a thick light-tan head and fairly copious lacing. An aroma of roasted malts, light hops, orange and citrus notes, raisin and dates, light chocolate, coffee, and some spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of roasted malts, hops, orange and citrus, chocolate, coffee, raisin and dates, light molasses, and spices. Excellent!!

Dark brown to very dark amber color. Off white/tan semi-creamy head with adequate size, solid retention and very nice lacing. Some light burnt orange highlights at the bottom of the glass. Not as dark as some of the previous Porters I have reviewed. Nice bit of a smooth, sweet, milk chocolate aroma at first. Minute hints of roast and smoke. Maybe some coffee in there, but it is very mild. The chocolate is the primary fragrance. I even picked up a nice oatmeal raisin cookie note. Nice touches of chocolate in the taste. Again, some coffee makes an appearance, but it is more subdued. The minor bits of smoke give it some complexity. Medium mouthfeel. Goes down smooth and easy. Not as dry as I was expecting, but not watery either. Covers the palate pretty well. Mostly average in the mouthfeel. This is an ok Porter. Not the best, but nothing to scoff at either. This would be a fair entry level Porter for someone interested in the style in my opinion. It is easily drinkable and I wouldn't have a problem quaffing it for a night.

Solid porter.Pours deep, rich, dark brown to black with a two-finger tan head. laces well. Faint aromas of roasted malt, toffee and coffee. Velvety smooth and medium-bodied on the pallette. Flavors match the aromas with the addition of a fruitiness that I couldn't discern in the aroma and is more complex and intense than the aroma... very nice.

ok so I hope it was bad.... really bad and out of date. That being said I am scared to try it again.

Smells of some milk duds and feet. Pours Like a cola with a bit of head. Watery but ok body with a smooth and silky finish. Flavor taste like buttered popcorn... I can't explain it. it was like someone went to movie counter stand and made a beer off everything on the floor??

Strong, rich aroma is of quality roast coffee with a firm overtone of sweet chocolate - tres tempting. It pours a semi-opaque Coca-Cola brown with a fairly thick beige head. Flavor is like a fine mocha, roast coffee and chocolate, slightly sweet, with a surprising and pleasant bitter hoppy undertone. Texture is tingly and smooth, very pleasant going down the hatch.
