Brewed with barley from our farm in central Michigan, Midwestern Pale Ale stands apart from the model of completely hop-dominated pale ales, offering a noticeable degree of malt body to counter the hop bitterness. A blend of floral & herbal hop notes provide the aromatic & flavor highlights, alongside the distinctive contribution of our house ale yeast. A crisp bitterness finishes the experience without being harsh.

Another great beer from Bell's. This was a nicely hopped pale ale and had an aroma of grass and some citrusy fruit - possibly orange. The flavor tracked the aroma.

Aroma is malty, weak, not very impressive. It pours a typical clear golden amber with a few little goobers in it - those don’t bother me, though. Flavor, fortunately, is stronger than the aroma - mainly malty, with a metallic tone. Not great, but potable. Texture is fizzy and fairly smooth.

Bottled a few months ago. Pours a cloudy amber with a lot of tiny bits floating about. Decently carbonated. Aroma is malty with a decent hint of citrus. Taste is tad bland but the citrus does get throat. A tad on the chalky side as well. Not my cup of tea but would like to try a fresher bottle.

If this is how they do pale ales in the midwest, then I prefer mine West Coast. Bordeline lager to me....or not the best balance for this style. I would prefer more citrus, but there is some hop to the finish....just very mild. Aroma is hardly there. What I could barely smell seemed slightly skunky. I would agree, this is my least favorite beer by Bells that I tried. Average just is not in their style.

New Bell's beer at my local store. Hazy golden orange pour with an ample white head. Aroma of grass and oranges from the hops and a bit of pale malt. Taste starts out with the pale malt but finishes with a touch of spicy bitterness. I found this more enjoyable than their regular pale ale but, for fans of 2 Hearted, you will be disappointed by the lack of hop punch. A nice, sessionable pale ale that paired nicely with my dinner of stuffed peppers.

Poured a nice haze of orange- very similar to hop fields they mention.That's where the beer takes a direction southward. Flavor is not that good, aroma is spicy. Quite bitter and never again. I am a big bell's fan- but this should be redesigned.
