Made for taking a break from the Sturm und Drang of modern life, this elegantly refreshing pilsner was created with German malt balanced with the spicy tang of Czech Saaz hops. The bread and biscuit flavors of the grain are topped with the floral character of the Noble hop, which may just get you to shimmy into your favorite lederhosen, bust into a quick schuhplattler and loudly proclaim, “Das ist Vunderbar!” Prost!

Clearance for $3.99/ 6-pack @ Total Wine & More. I thought this was just OK for a pilz. Might have been slightly old/coming out of the season, which is most likely why on clearance. Tasted about average for the style, though I prefer a more malty pilsner. Pale semi-clear/slightly cloudy yellow appearance. Flavors are grassy with light malt and hops. I'm always up for trying new pilsners to try out for the summer or hotter FL days, but I'll probably pass this up over something like Victory or Lags.

What a refreshing beer. Cloudy yellow colored with a big soapy textured white head rising above. There's good hand time on the head. It settles into a thin but impressive ringlet. The nose is light malt. The tasting a wonderous blend of grassy hops and sweet biscuit malt. Effervescent and crisp.

Great pilsner (and I'm not usually a big fan). Clear and effervescent with a fluffy white head and none of the Euro-funk/grass that I normally get from the type. Nice floral hop aroma and slightly - pleasantly - bitter taste. Clean, crisp and refreshing - perfect on a 90+degree Washington, DC evening... at the Churchkey.
