Taking the Orient and the rest of the world by storm, Krunkles returns! In this edition of the bearded IPA brewer’s saga, “Samurai Krunkles,” as he was once known in the Far East, pulls out all the hops from his katana’s sheath to make this Asian flared brew. While traveling around the Pacific in a souped up rickshaw pulled by his trusty side kick Cato, Krunkles uncovered unique brewing ingredients such as jasmine rice, jasmine green tea and the finest ginger the Orient had to offer for this Samurai master’s ale. Malt: 2-Row, Best Munich, Victory, Pale Crystal Hops: Columbus, Nugget, Falconers Flight, Zythos, Sorachi Ace Other: Green Tea, Jasmine Rice, Ginger, Dextrose

    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Malty aroma has a firm hoppy overtone plus hints of ginger and - must be jasmine. Pours a bubble, coppery amber with a fairly thick and fluffy ivory white head that hangs around. Flavor is rather hoppy, woody rather than evergreen, only slightly bitter, with hints of malt, ginger, jasmine and green tea. Distinctive and most enjoyable! Firm-bodied texture has good fizz and life, leaving a woody finish that has a hint of ginger. Say - ginger and green tea are supposed to be good for you, ergo, this is Health Beer! ;)
