Smoky aroma has a strong bourbon overtone. It pours a barely transparent chocolaty brown with a decent light tan head. Bourbon dominates the flavor, which has tones of apple and licorice. Texture is firm and lively.

On tap @Sunspot. Murky dark brown pour with a tight light tan head, plenty of lacing. Initial sweet and light whiskey aroma and palate, caramel, vanilla, roasted malts, light chocolate. Super easy to drink and very flavorful. Damn glad to get a couple of pints of this one during Knoxville Craft Beer Week.

People's Porter is very intricate and bold to begin with. This barrel aged version works off of those intricacies and adds even more depth. As with the BA Brown, this offering contains the same wonderful balance of base beer and barrel influence. Tons of roast and chocolate and coffee with vanilla and bourbon. Smooth and silky, an easy drinking pint.
