Sampled in 2009. Pours deep clear gold with no head. The aroma is apple, sweet malts and winter spices. The taste has spices pushing into mild grainy to faint roasty malts. It ends with some roast. The taste seems much different than the nose.

I liked their Southern Pecan better. About average for a pale ale, a little on the rusty side. I was going to grab a 6-pack of this to try localy, but a friend from GA brought some camping to try. Ok flavor...balance a tad off leaning on the bitterness side. Not really something that I'd seek again.

Pours a clear yellow with a huge white, pillowy head. O.K. lace. The aroma has a lot more hop character than I expected, with some pine and earthy aromas. You get some citrus and biscuit malt as well. The main flavor is piney hops. Wheat, and biscut malt as well. The beer finishes very dry and is highly carbonated with a light/medum mouthfeel. Overall, this is a nice drinking hoppy pale ale.

A bright amber colored beer with a big frothy textured white head rising above. There's some hang time. Settles eventually into a light dusting on the glass sides and thick ringlet. Nice citric grassy hop presence. Same hop presence with a subtle backdrop of sweet bready malt. Medium bodied and smooth. Very nice.

had as the 5.3% Deep South from Rowdy’s .. damn, this was a slight gamble when i bought it but this was quite nice! .. pours a deep gold .. low foam .. nice nice bitterness level .. . just awesome!! .. . . I know a guy who’s addicted to brake fluid. But he says he can stop any time.
