Dark cola brown with a creamy cap floating on top. Prunes, a funk I'm not sure about, daaaaa the only thing I can think of is old urinal but that's too harsh sounding. Taste the bourbon, taste the rye, the bourbon is better. So very sweet! Christmas spice is showing up now when warm. Thick and syrupy. Beer is not doing it for tonight, I'm sorry I'm really trying to like this beer but I'm not.

Strong aroma has a definite overtone of bourbon and whisky, plus a malty hint. Pours a rich, warm coffee brown with a thick dirty tan head. Flavor is quite sweet, a little too sweet for a beer - sorry, a point off there. It has a strong bourbon/whisky overtone and hints of malt and caramel. De trop de caramel, in fact. A good effort, but not my cup of tea - er, stein of beer. I'm glad other people liked it, though. Texture is thick and syrupy, fairly fizzy. I am drinking this, and it ain't headed for the sink.

This was a little too sweet and tart for me. Almost like a sour/flemish. Kind of noticing that about all of the Jewbelations. Maybe if this didn't have the bourbon barrel-aging, the other flavors would stand out more and have a better idea of the blend. After a few sips, I got used to it...but don't really know how they came up with this recipe. I guess what I'm saying is: good beer...just didn't work for me.

Form #KnoxBeerCrew tasting. Brown pour, tannish creamy head, very nice lacing throughout. Caramel and boozy aroma - welcoming - sweet malts, nice earthy hops offset, light Bourbon and whiskey, some oak. Mouthfeel is almost syrupy. Sweet upfront, then booze and malts and then the hops and bitter kick in. Nice big beer.

A blend of 6 different Hebrew beers, 73% aged in rye whiskey barrels, 27% in bourbon. The complexities, to an extent, got lost in the shuffle. I was expecting the barreling to really stand out, but the beer was far more tart and sour than i expected. not in a bad way, just unexpected. it seemed to be going for a Firestone Walker Anniversary type of blend, and ended up with something, well...funky. Dug the sour cherry aroma and underlying flavor. Lots of dark fruit and roast, a little of the barrels does come thorugh. Good brew, just not as great as I'd hoped.

This is an intense, in your face wild ride. Deep brown colored. Big foamy tan head with some staying power. Settles into light dusting of film aside the glass and medium sized ringlet. Tart cherries in the nose. Sweet, sugary-fruity in the tasting. Syrupy thick on the tongue.Interesting
