    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Rated in April 2012. 12oz bottle pours dark orange-ish brown with semi tight dark tan head. The aroma offers up some roasted malts, a dash of citrus, a good bit of spicy hops and earthy hops and dankness. The taste is much the same delivering a pulse of roasted malts, resiny pine like hops, growing spicy hops and a faint citrus note. To midway the earthiness, dankness and resiny come forward creating a pleasing experience. Into the finish the earthiness and dankness mold into a yummy wet Madero cigar leaf tobacco earthiness that works very well here. I love this from front to back as the experience meanders and intertwines with itself in near harmony.

A deep cloudy amber in color with a bif frothy textured, sticky very light beige colored head. Tremendous hang time on that head. Settles into a thick film and ringlet. The nose is intense piney hops. A nice blending in the tasting of that pine and molassess sweetness. Light bodied bubbles dancing on the palate. Well done.

Bottle from a beerrun in oHIo - Belmont Party Supply in Dayton. Red brown pour, tall white head, tones of lacing. Sweet aroma upfront, brown sugar, molasses, caramel, malts, the an earthy hops presence, light citrus and pine, fruity, then more sweet brown sugars. Taste is hoppier than expected - BONUS - with a nice bitter bite immediately offset by the massive brown sugar/molasses/sweet potato pie flavor. This would be a great dessert beer on Thanksgiving. Nice find.

Pours a mahogany color. Smell is sweet, some hops. Taste is hoppy and bitter up front, malts and molasses kicking in at the finish. Overall a good quality beer.

I thought I poured it warm enough...the first sip was ok...but every sip from there to the eng just kept getting better. Pretty agrees overly hoppy...lots o pine. A medium roasted malty brown ale with just enough brown sugar and molasses to notice, both of which were very nice touches in this unique tasting and smelling brew.

Sampled on 4/6/2012. This American Strong Ale pours a slightly cloudy amber brown color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized off-white foamy head, with decent retention and good lacing. The aroma is citrusy, caramel, nutty, sweet and hoppy. A medium bodied American Strong Ale. The malts are caramel, nutty, fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Good carbonation. A very hoppy brown ale. Nice nutty sweet is balanced by some big citrusy/grapefruity hops. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is mostly bitter.
