A hop forward beer with dank, resinous hop flavor and aroma, balanced by lightly kilned malt flavors, farmhouse yeast esters and a bit of warming alcohol. Thrash Metal Farmhouse Strong Ale is an homage to thrash metal music, which often fuels us during our daily chores at Jester King.

1 year old bottle - attractive hazed orange pour with strong effervescent carbonation. Barnyard funky aromas - hay, grass, and lemons. Sharp, acidic mouthfeel with a supremely dry finish. Pleasant flavors of apples, pear, funky yeast, and banana compliment the aforementioned acidity and dryness. This is the best of the jester king brews that I've had.

Aromas of pine, orange zest, sweet citrus aroma. A bready maltiness, faint floral, lemons, white grapes, and fruity yeast esters as well.Flavors of creamy orange, light pine, white pepper, and rye bread. It drys out nicely on the back end. The negative thing about that here is the bitterness from the hops and both the saison peppery dry finish clash. The aftertaste lingers with a light touch of pine, orange, and wild flower honey (not sticky sweet) that sits on the back of the tongue. A nice full-bodied beer which reveals hardly any alcohol at all. The farmhouse/saison style blends really nicely with the DIPA. I think the balance is almost spot on. (the finish is my only slight complaint) Another solid brew from Jester King!
