A bohemian pilsner, brewed with 25% local grains and wet hopped with local hops too! Crisp, refreshing and light, but with a malty backbone and a light, peppery spice from the local hops, Happy Pils was brewed by brewer Chris Maxfield exclusively for our annual Oktoberfest in Vankleek Hill. The bohemian pilsner is a staple of the German diet and we’re happy to include it for you. Original Name: Happy Pils Bohemian Pilsner Original ABV: 5.0% As part of the 2014 Oktoberfest 4-pack, beer is rebranded as 'Happy Pilsner Bohemian Pilsner' and is 5.3% ABV

Part of their Oktoberfest 2014 mixed pack. Pours a very slight hazy, light golden colour, with a big frothy white head, great retention and loads of thick creamy-foam lace. Beautiful aromas of typical Pils hops reminding me of some of the best pilsner around (which is weird being there is no Saaz). Not as grassy in the taste with very light hop at first, but with a grainy finish. Then, the nice mild grassy hops shows up, lingering after the grain malts. Not a big fan of pils (except a few, and gotta be cold), but this I must say is quite a nice one. One of the better American ones that don't seem like one.

Pours an insane amount of foamy bubbly white head and has a fairly clear golden appearance. Thick dirty lacing. Aromas of citrus and floral hops, grains. Flavours are quite citrusy. Some hints of caramel malts. Medium bodied mouthfeel. Not too bad.

The beer pours a translucent medium gold with a half inch white head which lasts a long time. The aroma is grains, light spice, yeast, and weak hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is grainy, with some herbal hops and light spice notes.
