Bomber from Central City. $12 but worth it, I think. Clear pour of dark gold under a three-fingered fluffy ivory head; nice lacing on this one. Complex aroma, citrus, pine, yeast, and alcohol. Quite a lot going on, really. Solid, smooth mouthfeel. Flavour echoed the aroma, with the alcohol more pronounced and a caramel finish, and some alcohol burn at the end as well. Lower end of the bottle had quite a lot of sediment. Pretty damned good.

A more subdued nose than expected with a sugary, bakery style sweetness. Flavor is nearly all citrus hop burn, the Belgian yeast is so overpowered I don't know that it even needs to be there. The flavor is good to me though, I like when hops burn their way sown, just won't be able to taste anything else tonight.

Ever wanted your teeth to disappear. This is the beer you should drink a pint, heck just a three ounce shot before you go into the dentist because with every shot you have a few invisible teeth and by the end of the bottle you thay things like my nips are lumb.

Clear golden yellow with dissapearing foam head leaving lacing on glass. Nice fruity yet hoppy smell, taste is bitter with orange, good bitter (Galveston 201205)

still not sure what to think of this one. not incredibly fresh, though i can't recall the date. but it started nice, then got a bit harsh as it started to warm...then got a 2nd wind by the end. maybe my buds were dead by then, who knows? anyway, orange peel abounds in the nose and flavor. combined with the fruitiness of the yeast it made the beer slightly cloying and oversweet, but the hops were enough to cut right through it. i think at around 8% and with less orange i;d have really really liked this beer (on the label as a tripel ipa)...as it is it was still pretty good.

Aroma is strong, fruity and yeasty with a hoppy note and just a hint of caramel. It pours a pretty clear golden with a fairly thick and fluffy ivory head that leaves substantial lacing. Fruity flavor is mainly apple with a note of pear and malty and yeasty tones plus a subtle hoppy undertone. Smooth, firm-bodied texture is edgy and lively, leaving a fizzy, fruity and malty finish.

Based on the label and name, was hoping this would have some more flavor/spice or whatever.....but in the end lives up to a great representation of it's style. Typical Belgian-IPA cross. Maybe not as smooth and perhaps a tier down from Stone and Lags, but solid brew. Liking all of Clown Shoes so far. Little expensive but gets you buzzed.

22oz bottle, Specs, $7.99, bought with Bday Specs Card from Judes .. . Pours a deep amber .. great foam! sticky lacing .. . you know there are beaches that have black sand .. . big fruity orangey nose when you pour .. . orange, tangerine, honey, yeast, and it's raining .. . wow, this beer has a bit of girth to it, that 10% and the sweetness is a bit tough to get through, but it isn't overdone- just big .. . i wanna fuck flings! .. . I like it, it fits its description quite well and is enjoyable .. . . who are you calling an uncle tom!!

Slightly cloudy orange hued body with a nice frothy cap, aromas and flavors of citrus, candi sugar, yeasts with a faint funk, and a touch of alcohol. Overall a nice blend of the two styles, neither is overpowering, or understated.

An orange golden colored beer with a big foamy textured, off white head that rises robustly above. There's some hang time on this one. It settles into a thick ringlet and light dusting of film. The profile is citric fruits, citric hops, some peppery spice and astringent alcohol. Light crisp body rounds out a decent beer.
