What a great beer to celebrate such a milestone. This is the first time I have gone through 3 cases of a single craft beer in a single season. This is not a black ale (that would be their latest unchained release) but a well made IPA that I wish would be released year-round.

In an American Black Ale I want a roasted dark malt married to the hops of an IPA. What I have here is a golden colored beer with a big frothy textred whoite head. that head is impressive. Good hang time. Big presence of a thick ringlet and film aside the glass. Lots of pney and floral hops in the nose. Dominate in the tasting as I'd expect in an IPA. But there's balance of dark roastiness. It is good, though. thick , smooth bodied, refreshing.
