I’ve only seen this on the menu once. Ginger has always been an interesting spice because it is very versatile and can be used in sweet dishes, vegetarian dishes, and meat dishes. Alcoholic ginger ales have always been enjoyable for me, so marrying it to a wheat ale seems like a no brainer. And it works. A red-tinged orange pour, clear, with a small head defines the appearance. The wheat and hops overpower the ginger in the aroma, you notice it, but not as much as you would think. The flavour is really a ginger infused American style wheat beer, not that there’s anything wrong with that!

The beer was a tranlucent golden red with a creamy white cap. The aroma was citrusy hops, ginger, and a weak wheat hint. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with medium carbonation. The flavour started out quite hoppy, however as the beer warmed up, the ginger flavour became a little more dominant.
