Pours clear cherry with a thick and persistent beige head. Aroma delivers malty and subtle woody and dark fruit tones, not strong but tempting. Flavor features roasted malt, dark fruit and why woody notes adding up to a good red ale. Mouthfeel offers average body and fair fizz. Echi-go for it!

I wouldn't really call this "premium". Noticing a bit of a flatter feel on these Japanese beers. Balanced towards the sweet end....not much hops. Flavor resembles more of an amber than red, although the appearance is more on the cloudy medium red side. Pretty much an average beer.

Sampled on 9/2/2011. This amber ale pours a medium reddish amber color from a 33cl bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, sweet and a touch hoppy. A medium bodied amber. The malts are caramel and fruity. The hops are herbal and earthy. Nice carbonation. Decent balance. A touch on the sweet side, yet there is a touch of sweetness at the finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
