A nice bitter Americvan style IPA. Beautiful amber coloured beer with a creamy tan head. Citrusy hops and sweet malt comprise the aromatic portion of the experience, and a nicely balanced flavour with caramel malt fending off citrus bitterness.

I tried this on tap recently as it's a new special brew from Muskoka. The bartender called it a double IPA, although it didn't have any of the characteristics one would expect. A beautiful golden-red nectar with a thick cream coloured head. The citrusy hops comes through heavily in the aroma with light spice tones, and sweet malt. Not a very refreshing beer, but then that's not a hallmark of IPAs. Nice citrus bitterness is balanced by the slight sweetness of the malt. I'll certainly try it again.

I tried this beer on draught on May 27, 2011 at "C'est What" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was poured a translucent orange-gold with a creamy off-white head. The aroma was citrusy hops, grainy malt, and pine. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium-high carbonation. The flavour was very bitter, with a citrus rind taste. Maybe too bitter.
