One of my favorites from this Lat 48 deconstructed mixpack. I may even prefer these single malt versions more than the 5-hop blend....smoother feel at least. Sometimes simple flavor is better...in this case it could be. This hop selection gives a good balance of tropical notes and bitterness. I wasn't a huge fan of the Lat 48, but now I can appreciate it more.

Really loved this IPA hoppy flavors came through nicely without to much of a citrus flavor. . I would surely buy a 12 pack if it was sold as such. would rate it right up there with shocktops 2013 offering

Clear amber pour with a decent off white head and good lacing throughout. Very earthy hops aroma with a slight caramel sweetness from the malts, slightly fruity. Taste is earthy and floral, nicely balanced with malt sweetness, good light earthy linger. More of an English IPA. Still nice though.

All of the requisite IPA characteristics in a wel-balanced package... not enough discernable difference to my pallette to warrant this variety of the regular Latitude 48.

Number two of the deconstructed series, east Kent Goldings has a more earthy presence to it in both flavor and aroma, there is a faint hint of fruit. Nice bitterness in the finish, I agree with slowrunner77 in that it similar to a English ipa.

more enjoyable than i thought it would be. with the kent goldings the only show in town, i actually kinda enjoyed the earthy nutiness and sweet malt combo, with a hint of tropical fruit in the flavor. not what i look for regularly in an ipa, but nice. more in the english style.

Sampled on 5/14/2011. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head with nice lacing and decent retention. The aroma is caramel and sweet, earthy and mineraly. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral, touch of mineral. Good carbonation. Milder hops bitterness in this beer. Nice earthy tones, perhaps a touch of apricot and orange. Definitely earthier tasting. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Had the regular Latitude before this .. . Pours a dark tan, medium head, great lacing! .. . bark, light resin, and light soil - quite alot of earthiness- .. not as clean as the reg, more earthy and weird fruit skin tartness .. . decent but happy i tried it first .. . come on stoke, beat those shitty blue bastards..
