The third Offering in the One-Off "Welly Series". This 5.5% beer has a dark amber hue and a strong floral nose. Once tasted, Wellington IPA coats the mouth with the body of an English Pale Ale and captivates the taste buds with a hoppiness that is intense without being overbearing. Our offering supplies a sweet citrus sensation up front buoyed by a balanced bittering background that is slow to subside. On tap at the brewery: Tap puts a beautiful shimmering clear dark amber ale in the glass with an ample puffy off white cap. Cap lasts and laces the glass. Moderate carbonation. Nose is somewhat citrusy with some floral and earth tones mingling with sweet malts. Medium body, gritty mouth feel, malty-bitter character. Flavor profile has the front side full of good import malts in decent balance with English hop cultivars, mid palate some malt complexity which quickly vanishes as more intense bittering take over and rides out the finish - has a long lingering bittering that is not unpleasant - the hops really hang in there - I suspect a long boil did this. Overall a decent satisfying IPA with the unique character of having Amarillos in the aroma and English hops in the body. A well-crafted IPA _ I suspect it would be more flavorful if it were unfiltered.

The beer poured a hazy copper colour with a creamy tan coloured head. The aroma was caramel malt, weak hops, and yeasty tones. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was sweet malt and weak citrusy hops. Not a memorable beer.
