I thought this would be more of a spring beer, but is a session pale ale. Has some decent citrus flavor to it...but nothing as bold as those session IPAs. A less-malted version of the APA. These sessions are starting to take over, but this is one I'd probably rather just have a straight up pale ale. Clean and drinkable...good for summer or daytime though.

Pours out clear and gold with a light white head. The aroma smells clean and crisp of grapefruit rind. The mouthfeel is thin and noticeably bitter either from the hops or the grapefruit. The flavor is very weak and plain.

Aroma is yeasty, woody, and rather grassy. It pours a rather wan clear yellow, but at least the white head is thick and fluffy. Malty flavor has a strong hoppy, grassy overtone with a subtle note of yeast and a fair amount of bitterness, rather like an IPA. Texture is rather thin, though it has a good tingle. Though not Highland's best effort, still worth at least a try. (And refreshing on a May day that feels like August!)

Pours clear, clean golden amber with a faint head. Clean and refreshing, it has all of the requisite floral and hops one would expect from a spring-time beer. Nicely balanced and light.

A dark golden color with a white head. Aroma has grapefruit, oranges, and pine. Flavor contains grapefruit, orange, lemons, very bitter. The shock here is its under 5% so hopeheads this is your perfect session beer. Im a hophead btw

A golden colored beer. A medium sized, frothy textured white head rises briefly above. Not much hang time on this one. Settles into a thick ringlet and splotches of film. Citric hops dance in the aromas. Grapefruit dominates the tasting. A light medium body and crisp carbonation made this a pretty good drink.

Clear light amber yellow pour with slight white head and spotty lacing. Light citrus/ lemon zest aroma with some earthy hops and a bit a caramel. Taste is crisp with a lighter citrus hops zing and a refreshing lightly sweet balance. Lighter than a lot of APAs but very clean.
