A bourbon barrel is emptied in Kentucky; then we bake it in a shipping container to drive off the excess bourbon and concentrate the flavor. Not looking for booze, looking fro the flavor of desert - chocolate, vanilla, rum raisin; pour it on ice cream and enjoy with cherry cobbler.

Nice dark pour. Pretty thin taupe foam. Since I love coffee beer, this is a winner for me! The best coffee beer aroma next to Lips Of Faith Imperial Coffee Chocolate Stout from the New Belgium Brewing Company. This one has a deep rich coffee taste with a little "fun" mixed in. I enjoy the sizzle as it's going down. My kind of "make me happy" beer! ;) If you love a top-notch coffee beer as well, this is a "must try"!

Tasted at the 5th Annual Bistro Barrel Aged Beer Fest on 11/13/2010. This stout pours a dark brown color from the tap. Small to medium sized tan foamy head. The aroma is chocolate, coffee, bourbon and sweet. A medium to full bodied. The malts are chocolate and coffee. The hops are herbal and earthy. Hints of bourbon, vanilla and wood. Very sweet. Nice carbonation. Great sipping beer. Mouthfeel us full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.
