little baby bottle...dark fruit, char, licorice. a little off note (the bordeaux?) in the aftertaste, but otherwise a fairly typical impy for the netherlands...which is a good thing. smooth bodied and tasty.

Bottle, kindly shared by gunnar. ABV 11.2%. Black colour, big to moderate tan head. Oaky and vinous aroma, also notes of dark malts, leather, chocolate and coffee. The flavour has overall the same elements as the aroma. Excellent beer!

Pours out in an opaque black colour with a surprisingly large thick and lasting beige head. Roasted malts, wood, black chocolate, red berries, almonds, coconut and vanilla in the aroma. Full-bodied with notes of wood, coconuts, tart red berries, licorice, salt, pepper and roasted malts. Smooth mouthfeel. Long warming finish of roasted malts, tart red wine, wood, and black pepper. Bourbon notes in the aroma with red wine notes in the finish. Tasty and funny.
