Armory XPA was the first brew out of our Portland Pub, and it’s remained a fan favorite over the years. This Experimental Pale Ale boasts beautiful caramel flavor balanced by a bitter twist of Nugget and Northern Brewer hops with a big citrus kick coming from the Citra, Cascade and Centennial hops. Malt: Crystal Hops: Nugget, Northern Brewer, Citra, Cascade, Centennial Pairings Cheddar Cheese and Roasted Red Pepper Strata Grilled Cuban Sandwich Creamy Garlic Pasta With Mushrooms and Prosciutto Mixed Berry Gazpacho with Basil

The beer is clear amber, some weak haze, and topped by a cream coloured bubbly cap. Lacing is generous. Aroma is bread, caramel, tropical fruits, and grains. Mouthfeel is average. The flavour is slightly sweet up front, and very bitter in the finish. A very good beer.

Bomber from Pt Roberts (WA) Marketplace. Clear amber pour, with an enduring frothy ivory head. Hops and caramel malt in the aroma, and might there be some citrus as well? Mouthfeel was just about right where it should be. Nice APA flavour, bit of grapefruit citrus, malt and hop. AN easy drinking beer.

Had this alongside a Widmer Alchemy Ale. Although they look nearly identical, this leans more toward an English style pale ale with an earthy hop aroma and flavor. I did not notice much in the way of fruity, citrusy hops. Just okay.

On tap @ Deschutes, Portland. Golden orange pour, slight white head, little lacing. Clean earthy and fruity hoppy aroma and flavor, malty presence, lightly bitter and short linger. Easy to drink.

I haven't really seen much of this beer around but enjoyed it's cleanliness a couple weekends ago. Nice orange tint, barely any lacing. Pineapple and mango notes, delicate hop character, moderate malt backbone.

solid effort at an APA, equal too, or perhaps surpassing mirror pond, depending on the mood. MP strikes me as a slightly more english leaning pa (although a little too hoppy to be classified as such). this one is slightly more unabashadlt hoppy, a little paler, and a little cleanre. tasty brew.
