Belgian, Strong, Pause . . . for a moment and let’s consider the Possibilities. Sure, you were thinking Pale but it’s not at all pale. Rather the contrary. The P could stand for Perfect: perfectly befitting a warm respite in front of a fire on a cold February night – but we don’t say chit like that. You’ll probably just drink this Belgian Quad like a session beer and hope for the best in the morning anyway, so screw it. Maybe the P stands for your favorite Pub, the place where you go to hang out, drink killer beer and enjoy life. Yup, that’s the one. The Quad part, well it’s a style for sure, but it could be in reference to a collaboration between a Pub and a Brewhouse that opened in the same year out of friendships and a love for great beer. Yeah, those four things are in here too.

This beer is everything about a quad only a little less. The beer had a nice dark brown pour with a tannish head that went away quickly. It had a malty, yeasty smell with some sweetness. It had the flavor of a lighter belgian type ale that was just average. Not a bad beer especially for the price but when it comes to a Quad it does not stand up to the best.

sorry Cybercat...i think ye must be suffering from local delusions of grandeur as waaaaaay too many of your ratings for georgia beers seem to be between 4.5-5. if they were all that good, they'd have the market corned by now. i went into this knowing sweetwater has a decent rep but with no expectaions. for the most part i agree with the descriptors of the first reviewer, but deifinitely not the scores. a tasty beer, but not complex enough to be a great quad. straightforward, lacking the belgian punch.

Pours a lovely dark and slightly hazy cinnamon-brown with a decent and not too persistent tan head. Aroma is quite strong, yeasty and fruity, slightly sweet with malty and caramel undertones - seriously tempting. Flavor is lively, yeasty and malty with strong caramel and fruity undertones - WHOA! This has quite a fierce alcohol bite! Texture is rough, tingly and sassy, leaving a lively and fizzy feeling on the tongue and inside the lips. A must!
