    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Aroma is strong and malty with a firm overtone of roast corn. It pours a slightly cloudy golden with a thick and not persistent white head. Flavor is rich, mouth-filling, very malty and subtly sweet, again with a strong roast-corn tone. Texture is silky-smooth, quite tingly, very pleasing. A winner.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. (I didn't know it was a Belgian at the time.) There is a freshness date notched on the label showing the year and month to consume the beer by which was July of 09. Appearance: The beer had a slightly hazy look with a dull medium golden color. It only managed to produce a small bright white head that quickly settles down to just a thin ring of slick lacing on top. Smell: There was a light, fruity Belgian yeast character with hints of lemon, banana and apple as well as some slight medical notes and mild hops. Taste/Mouth: The flavor starts with a base of semi-dry, light pale malt with a fruity and slightly funky yeast. There are notes of citrus (lemon), apple and a light touch of spice (ginger or clove). Hop flavor and bitterness are very mild and add a touch of spice as well which carries on into the finish. The texture has a light feel with mild fizzy carbonation. Notes: Overall to me this was an average Belgian Pale Ale.

Sampled from bottle: Pours a beautiful bright golden colour with an amazing amount of carbonation and medium sized white head that dissipates rather quickly.Aroma is pleasent, a pitcher of nectar- peaches and tangerines on the nose. Taste is absolutely pleasent on this 95 degree day. Creamy with some really soft spice on the finish. Flavours are fruity with a little yeasty notes.
