Our BELGIAN WIT is an unfiltered wheat beer fermented with a unique Belgian yeast. Named for its cloudy, nearly white appearance, this unique witbier is spiced with coriander and exotic curacao orange to create a refreshing yet flavourful ale. TASTING NOTES Lightly hopped with mild coriander and orange flavours for low bitterness and a dry finish. FOOD PAIRINGS An ideal pairing for West Coast shellfish and lighter meats.

below average wit I would say. Ive gone off wheat beer in general recently, but really not digging this. I find the mouthfeel has a sponge likeness to it, in that all the saliva is completely sucked from my mouth when drinking, makes me feel heavy and gross. It was not completely cold when opened in its defense, but once it warmed up a little bit it was garbage, literally i poured it in the compost. Not many good wit flavour notes, mostly just fake orange, wheat extract, mild yeast thats not very pleasing. Really not enjoyed. I would rather drink a Canadian, really.

Purchased at the original location on Granville Island. Poured a light and hazy yellow gold colour beneath a scant white head. No great shakes to look at, but at least the nose was more pleasing, with some obvious citrus notes. Flavour was about the same, although the mouth was thinner than desired. Extremely average, like most of GI's latest offerings.
