Pours a good size frothy off-white head and has a clear golden appearance. Average carbonation. Ok lacing. Aromas of mild spices, citrus and herbal hops. Flavours are quite fruity, some citrus and floral hop notes, as well as cloves, apricots and yeast. A little bit of bready malts and biscuit hints. Has a mild warming sensation on the palate. Good balance of sweet and bitter. Alcohol is extremely well hidden. Good stuff.

The clearest tripel I have ever had. The beer pours a translucent honey gold colour with a creamy long lasting white head. Aroma is belgian yeast, spices, and light citrus fruits. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is yeast, grains, slightly sweet, and a little alcohol. A very nice Ontarion take on a classic Belgian style. -

I was quite please to find this Mill Street Seasonal Sampler 6-pack at the LCBO. I had pretty much tried all samples in this pack, except for this Belgian style Tripel. Pours a slight hazy golden colour that looks like honey. The head is nice and long-lasting, white, creamy and beautiful lacing is left. Nice soft nose of Belgian yeast, grain malt, vanilla and even mild perfume that some women wear (the one that is the closest to vanilla). Watery mouthfeel with a little stickiness and no burn whatsoever. Again, grain malt in the taste, Belgian yeast and nice spices. Not a crazy Tripel, but an easy-drinking one, just like most Mill Street beers... goes down well.

Bottle: Pours a A burnished gold color...small cap, light lacing, light carbonation. Aroma is a cacophony of yeast phenols and esters; banana, vanilla, spice, succulent fruits, some citrus peel, earthy undertone. Taste is lush...big on fruit Banana-lemon-pear-peach, vanill and spice all balanced off with sweet muffin dough maltiness...continues on like this into the finish where some more bittering and light alcohol tones come out at the very end. Fruity,sweet doughy light bittering and warming....pretty much what a triple is supposed to do isn’t it?
