Pours a frothy off-white head and has a cloudy golden amber appearance. Pretty weak lacing. Light malty aromas, citrus hops, quite mild spices as well. The green tea flavours is pretty noticeable. Some light spices and oranges come through as well. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Quite an astringent sensation on the palate. Not too bad. Tea flavour is apparent enough but could have had more bite overall.

The beer poured a translucent straw gold colour with a half inch white bubble head. The aroma was grainy malt, weak tea, and light fruits. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with mild carbonation. The flavour was grains, tea, and weak hops. The finish was not very bitter.

Hazy yellow gold with a big thick white cap and ample sticky lacing. Fresh, sweet aroma with a thick cloud of rich malts, bready malts, plum like nose can be found, very aromatic, boiled red berries for jam, I have no idea what green tea smells like so I guess I miss out on that side of it. The taste is biscuity and fruity and dry. Super light white pepper, goose berry, dulling spice from op? Ack. Dulling mouth feel and dry. Some zip but very mild bitterness. Less and less impressed as I empty the bottle into my liver.

Interesting blend for a beer. Pours a hazy copper-beige colour with a nice creamy white head that has good retention and lacing like a micro. Nicely carbonated too, with tiny bubbles that are consistent. Smells grainy at first, but then, turns into this beautiful sweet honey aroma and the herbal tea in the background. Semi-smooth, but mostly watery mouthfeel overall which not much bit in the finish. Nothing bad in the taste, but lacking a bit of punch. Wants to be sweet, but too watery and falls short, with a little green tea in the aftertaste. A nice idea, but lacing in the taste department.

Bottle: Poured a light hazy yellow color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of light green tea with some other Asian spices (ginseng, coriander...). Taste is also a well balance mix between lightly sweet malt with some medium notes of green tea. I was expecting the green tea to be more dominant but still very enjoyable. Very well done for what was intended.

Rerating after last year’s diacetyl-laced samples. Bottle: fresh from brewery. Pours a light protein hazed light gold ale in the glass. A 2 finger frothy cap laces well. Aroma is demure light fruity tones over sweet grains and grassiness...delicate pale ale aroma with gree tea leafy aromas. Light bodied, gritty mouth feel. Dulcet biscuit malts mingle with pear and herbal hops up front, finish is clean, puckering tart with with bittering from green tea tannins... the green tea and hops joining forces. Very refreshing, dry, quenching clean tasting ale. Great for plus 30 weather.
