On tap at the Tampa Pour House pouring up dark rutty ruby red mahogany with off white head and some sticky spotty lacing. The aroma is highly roasted malts, musty dark fruitiness, spicy black licorice and caramel candy. Bold aromatics. The taste is dark roasty malts, spicy notes, black licorice and firm wet clumpy earthiness. Around the edges I get a mild level of bitter pine hops. Another full flavored brew.

Pours coffee brown with a thick and rather persistent tan head. Aroma features chocolate, roast malt, caramel, toffee and subtle molasses notes, more stout-like than porter-like. Flavor delivers semi-sweet chocolate, roast malt, charred hops, toffee, caramel and molasses notes. This is YUUUUUGE! Mouthfeel offers firm, viscous body and good fizz. Barkin’ good!

Pours out a very dark brown very close to black with a thin tan head. The aroma is slightly sweet and of malt. The mouthfeel is smooth but just average in thickness. The taste is very interesting. Really good beer for the price.

A good overall porter, but not quite up there with the best. CCB website says 6% ABV, which seems about right. A lot lighter than their Jose Marti, and not nearly as hoppy. More of an overall, semi-chocolaty, drinkable porter. Almost feels like a sweet stout, but has a tad of bitter to it. Had been wanting to try this for a while, which recently started canned distribution. Supposed to be an annual release soon, so will grab here and there, but not really going out of the way for it.

A dark brownish-black colored beer wuth a two finger frothy textured, light brown head rising above. Ut settles in short order leaving a thin ringlet. The profile is simple, roasty, chocolate, coffee. But I like the style so this medium bodied ale was good.
