Wanted something a little lighter to marinade tri-tip with so I gave this a try. I liked this lager as it had more body to it than most. Looks more IPAish, which I guess should be expected. A lot more carbonation that I would have liked, but the malt/hop balance over came than. Decent middle of the road beer.

Sampled on 2/4/2009. This amber ale pours a medium amber color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel malts, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied amber. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. Tends toward the sweet malts. Good carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
