A Spanish take on the Belgian classic, and one best not taken. The pour is a very pale straw yellow, only slight haze, and topped with a small, short-lived white cap. Aroma is light wheat, fresh bread, fresh coriander, and yeast. Where is the citrus and banana? The mouthfeel is light to average. Flavor is almost like they took their pale lager and added a bit of herbs and wheat to it. That’s not a good thing.

750ml bottle from SAQ. Pours a fairly big frothy white head and has a pale golden appearance. Moderate carbonation. Sticky lacing remains. Aromas of wheat, cereal and grains. Flavours are a bit sweet, some wheaty notes, mainly malty, some decent amount of spices, cloves, coriander, quite mild overall. Slick and smooth mouthfeel. Not bad.

Can from the LCBO. Pours a slight hazed light-golden colour with a big creamy off-white head, good retention and loads of creamy-wavy lacing. Wow, the nose is quite rich and sweet - with orange notes, yeast and wheat. The taste is a milder, but still a little too rich. Again, the oranges, yeast and wheat. Not feeling the liquorice... and wish I was. Would probably blend things better. Not my thing, but the head is quite beautiful.

Opaque light yellow, white lasting, lacing foam head. Barley and orange aroma, returning in taste. Quite nice, good floral tones. Fesh. (Doetinchem 201609)

Fun and makes for a great gift for the non beer-idol in your life. Pours pale yellow with a bright white head. Aroma is fruity and floral. Very clean citrus mouth, this would go well with any food. Flavor is fruit.

Very odd aroma of very sweet grapes, like candy. Pours a not quite clear gold color with a thick head that didn't last very long. Also a bit peppery in the nose. Strange body. It's kind of heavy trying to get down. Although it has some good flavor and aromas, it seems like a beat up witbier to me, and not something I think I'd want to drink again. That doesn't mean it's bad, but it's not something I enjoyed.

I dont get it. Bottle looks goood. Blending a lager and a wit? Heavily filtered? No head. Seems watery. Got all the regular wit characteristics, but not even as good as another wit/lager blend like Rickards White. Pretty boring....

750ml bottle: Puts a lightly hazed pale gold ale in the tumbler. puffy 2 finger cap reduces but lasts and laces. Demure nose...spicy- bit of citrus sweet malts, Lively spritzy-dry palate. Flavour is decent for a witbier...some dry biscuit malt, spicy hops and corriander, good citrus tang, clean sharp dry finish. Nice commercial witbier. Super well rounded witbier where no single element overpowers another spice, hops, orange peel and malts all in a smooth satisfying balance

The beer poured a slightly hazy straw yellow with a thin white head. The aroma was wheat malt, spices, and perfumey hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour wasn't very Belgian Wit at all. it was citrusy hops and a weak malt backbone. Enjoyable....and good tasting.

Poured into a wine-glass, pours: a hazy light golden with thin white head and light lacing. An aroma of light licorace and sarsaparilla, wheat malt, faint hops, citrus blend, vanilla and other spices. The mouthfeel is smooth, full and rich. Flavors of the wheat malts, hops, vanilla, citrus, light berries, and mild spices. It is not the best witbier at all, but I like it though.
