The Sunray Wheat is a German style unfiltered wheat beer brewed with a touch of local, Georgia Coast, Tupelo honey from the Savannah Bee Company. It’s inviting banana/sweet clove like aroma gives way to a pleasant, clean finish with a hint of tartness. This beer will only be available in the Terrapin “All The Hits” Variety 12-pack until sometime in the spring.

I haven't had many wheat beers in the past year or so, mainly cause not my favorite style. I do like a good Hef though, and this is one of them. May wind up buying a 6 of this towards the spring or summer. Smooth quality flavor here...not really tasting the honey that much, but helps balance it out. Cloudy yellow appearance. Not much smell...yet doesn't have the skunky wheat smell that a lot do. Terrapin is aight.

This beer was quite nice - I know this because I am not a huge fan of wheat beers. I usually avoid them, however, this one was nice and floral. It smelled of freshly cut grass and floral bouquets. I enjoyed this and would have it again. The flavor tracked the aroma nicely.

I too recieved this as suprise from Brother Lou. What a nice suprise this was too. I've had so many subpar hefes in the past, this one was gorgeous!! Bruit, fresh and flavourful. Cloudy golden, big frothy white head. Aroma has bubblegum, bouqet of flowers and fresh cut grass. Taste is creamy, full, semi sweet and yeasty with a long creamy finish. Awesome beer!

A semi occluded yellow colored beer. The The creamy textured, white head is small and without any hang time. The lacing is weak, just a tigh bubbly thin ringlet. The aroma presents some wheat, but more sweet honey. The body is thin to medium. The carbonation rich. Crisp on the palate. Bananas dominate the flavors, though wheat is evident. A thirst quencher, as it should be, just doesn’t have the WOW factor.

Part of a surprise package sent up from bluesandbarbq, thanks again Louis. 1st Hefeweizen of 2010 and another fantastic example of authenticity by an American brewery. Cloudy yellow gold pour producing a brilliant white head and heavy lacing. Strong aromas of sweet wheat, orange-lemon-banana fruits, spicy clove and bubblegum. Crisp & light, moderately sweet with a surprisingly dry finish. Balanced with a traditional German wheat beer flavors. Banana, crisp wheat, clove and citrus.

Bottled@Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma is wheat, honey, fruits and mild yeastyness as well. Flavour is wheat, grass, honey and some slight earthy and grassy notes as well. Also has some banana lurking in the background.

Light golden yellow pour with minimal head and some lacing. Sweet floral aroma with some honeysuckle, bananas, wheat, honey and light yeasts. Taste is initially sweet but not overly with a decent fruitiness with bananas then some honey and a slight floral earthiness. Interesting but nice - easy to drink for sure.

A hazy, barely translucent golden, typical for a hefeweizen. Aroma is strong, malty and wheaty with strong undertones of honey and lemon, quite appealing. Flavor is wheaty with strong lemony hints and a firm tone of honey that complements the rest of the flavors. Texture is very smooth and fairly fizzy.

The brew has nice honey overtones to it. The aroma is grainy first off as well as sweet and of fuzzy malts and biscuits with some hints of faint honey. The appearance is a pale, golden yellow when held to the light and has a fuzzy, bleach-white head on top that vanishes quickly only leaving stringy lacing on the glass. The mouthfeel is very light and actually rather crisp with sweet complexity you find in ciders and has some balance but not much of a hop bill and has a palate that that is clean and wet. The flavor is cidery and dry just a bit but I really do not detect much honey except only some and this one is fruity and has an aftertaste that is watery but malty on the back end. Overall, an interesting beer here and more fruity than some German wheat beers and actually keeps me more interested than I thought I would be in the beginning; good Spring-time thirst-quencher here...
