The 1st of a few beers from the elusive state of West Virginia, and what a mighty fine brew to be had. Enjoyed this at the tavern while making my way down to the capital for some business. Dark amber~brown color with a thin, brown cap and heavy lacing. Mellow aroma that's more sweet with a splash of robustness. Bread and sweets with roasted grain and a touch of chocolate. Creamy mouth feel with a milky smoothness. Malty yet has a noticeable bitterness in the finish. Delicate dark fruit flavors jumbled with sweet rolls, toast and milk chocolate. Great pub beer.
