Sampled on draft at Rendezvous, Memphis. Pours clear gold with a thin head. Mild malt aroma. Pleasantly bitter flavor but one note malt profile with little late addition hops. A "when in Rome" beer.

On tap @ Superior Bar on Beale Street in Memphis - part of the "Big Ass Beer" offerings. Light copper amber pour with a thick fluffy head leaving big lacing. Caramel malts and fruity hops dominate the aromas with a touch of herb and floral. Taste is more bitter than I expected - a good thing - with a citrus and slight mango hops quality and a good dose of sweet caramel type malts to offset and balance. Pretty good effort for a town that doesn't do much brewing. Would definitely drink again - in the Big Ass Cup too!

Sampled at GABF on 9/17/2010. This American Pale Ale pours a light gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, sweet and slightly hoppy. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are sweet and fruity. The hops are floral and earthy. Light carbonation. Crisp and clean. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Tried this one at B.B King's Blues Club in downtown Memphis on my trip to Tennessee. Pours a clean copper colour with an off-white head that is creamy and offers good lacing. The carbonation is pretty vivid and the mouthfeel is medium-thin. Malty nose with slight fruit. Very light tasting with mild bitterness in the finish. An easier drinking lighter Pale Ale.

Tried this at the Flying Saucer in Memphis. I wanted to try at least one local beer while I was there. A pretty hoppy entry here, quite a shock from the Maredsous 8 that preceded it (which is pretty much what we were looking for). A bright golden color, no head, copious carbonation creating a full mouthfeel. Lots of citrus hops, didn't taste any mint, but as it was on tap, it was pretty cold. Sweet undercurrents of caramel. A good choice.
