Barons Lemon Myrtle Witbier is the real Australian version of Belgian-style white beer. Flavoured by native Australian Lemon Myrtle, this beer is a perfect balance of zesty lemon rind and ripe citrus fruit flavours. Being bottle-conditioned, this cloudy ale is lively on the palate yet surprisingly smooth.

Pours golden straw with a slight white, flat head. Fruity/citrus aroma, but faint. Light to medium-bodied. Heavy on the carbonation. Sweet malts at the back. Flavor matched aroma, but flat. Oddly slick and coating on the pallette.

A translucent golden yellow colored ale. A small frothy white head without much hang time. Lemon and sugary sweetness in the nose. A bubbly body, light andcrisp. That in itself makes this a drinkable brew. The add the notes of wheat, slight sourness but not offensive in any way. The Aussie did well by this one.

Pours a medium pear colour, with a medium white head, a fizzy head but stands up .. . very fizzy beer on the palate, refreshing and lively, nice!! .. . light citrus, brown paper bag full of not yet ripe lemon, and light light coriander Aromas .. . wonderful light in the mouth and in the flavour department, light light citrus kiss, some clean sweetness, like the spoon of sugar in lemonade, some melon and coriander, very playful, mate .. . good bye newcastle, enjoy the championship!!

Sampled on 4/24/2009. This witbier pours a light straw gold color from a 33cl bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is lemon zest, fruity, herbal and sweet. A light bodied wit. The malts are fruity, lemony and sweet. The hops are herbal. Really fizzy, and over-carbonated. Some nice spices. Light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full, but is offset by all that carbonation. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
