Had as Light Blonde. Pours pale yellow with a thick though not long-lasting porcelain head. Aroma features fresh malt, and that's it. Flavor presents fresh malt and some sweet apple. Texture has watery body and wimpy fizz. Well, had to try it.

In bottle at dark Continental Club so hard to tell color, foam and aroma. This explains low rating. Taste is that of low alcohol bears, barley. Little bitter aftertaste. (Houston 201208)

I knew it would be bad, and it was WORSE! .. why is shiner making a light low calorie beer??!?? it pours a very pale with a strange faint smell ... Taste is just FOUL! ... nasty nasty beer. I have lost respect for this brewery.. Just make your 100th anniversary beer (which at this rate will probably be an NA or a smirnoff cooler clone) and close down and let Saint Arnold take over as Texas's official beer!!
