Pours a dark amber color with a small head and spotty lacing. Aroma of pine and citrus hops, with caramel and toffee malts. Flavor is citrusy hops, malts and caramel. Easily drinkable at 10.4ABV. The body is full and smooth, finishes lightly sticky. Another (last?) solid brew from Rodger Davis.

NorCal Feb '08 - A classic example of a Rodger Davis brew. Tons of hops in both the flavor and aroma, and a lot of residual sweetness still left to keep things in check. The aroma is just blasted with hops. People say the hop shortage is due to lack of farmers making it, they are growing corn for ethanol....I say it's due to Mr. Davis using them all up in his beer!! Man! Huge aromas of pine and grapefruit just oozing out of the glass. Hops are at such a high level in the taste that it melted the enamel on my teeth. LOL. Huge resinous hoppage here with a nice dose of malt sweetness to keep things from getting more out of hand than they already are. Hopefull Rodger will decide to brew again one day. I'll be there buying whatever it is.
