“Cerberus” Tripel is a bottle-conditioned strong Belgian Ale with slightly hazy appearance and mousse-like head. Brewing with Golding and Saaz hops and Pilsner and Aromatic malts yields a medium body and champagne-like carbonation. Cerberus pairs perfectly with turkey and other poultry, creamy cheeses, fruit pastries, desserts and crème brulee.

This tripel was nice. It pours out yellow like a Pilsner and I agree with the almost champagne esqe quality. A nice flavor of hops that are grounded in the Pilsner Malts its brew in was nice. I really like Flying Dog brews and this was no exception.

A hazy yellow-orange colored beer. Small creamy textured, white head rises above. Not much hang time. Settles quickly leaving only a very thin soapy ringlet. The nose is faint. Most sweet-lemony. Thick bodied and a degree of creaminess. Nicely carbonated. Fruity, lemony, sweet, spicy all dancing uniformly together in the tasting. Really pretty good for an American attempt on this style.

Pours a dark, cloudy orange with almost no head and no lacing. Aroma is malty, yeasty, and just a little fruity. Taste is very similar--sweet fruits with a bit of spice thrown in. Just ok.

A beer I've heard a bit about and even think I saw once many moons ago, but now have finally had the chance to try courtesy of my pal blue lou: Pours a delightfully cloudy orange colour with no head really. Aroma has some caramel notes along with a decent amount of fruit. Taste is very fruity, like tangerines, dehydrated apricots and some fig. Not as yeasty or spicey as belgian tripels, that's why i like this a bit better. Very easy to drink. Thanks Louis!

A golden orange brew wiuth a thin tan head. The aroma was full of spiciness reminiscent of a Belgian tripel with some weak sweet malt and yeast. The flavour was peppery, yeasty, with a bitter finish. Good, but not very good.

pours like a cloudy ipa with thin bubbly head. a thick, slightly sticky, highly carbonated body. it has a fairly standard triple aroma and taste...spices and some light sweet fruity notes, yeast. nothing to seperate it from the field, but nothing unpleasant either. warming alcoholic finish...tastes like more than 8.5%.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy golden orangey color ale with a large foamy head with minimal retention and not much lacing. Aroma of candi sugar with faint ester. Taste is overly sweet with some cloying notes and very faint fruity ester with no spicy yeast that I usually associate with the style. Body is full with limited filtration with some average carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Lack of balance overall and somewhat overly sweet.

Sampled on 4/26/2009. This tripel pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, touch of yeast. A medium to light bodied tripel. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are floral. There is a touch of yeast, but mostly sweet fruity malts characterize this beer. Not a lot else going on. A little more carbonation might help. Kind of bland, boring and not very interesting. Touch of pilsner malts and hops in the background. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet and a touch yeasty.

Pours out in a clear golden colour with a low quickly disappearing white foam. Unrefined sugary and alcoholic aroma of canned oranges with hints of banana. Medium to full-bodied with boozy notes of sugar, canned oranges and raw alcohol. Very clean mouthfeel. Sharp alcoholic finish with touches of candied oranges and a wee hint of banana and esters. A poor excuse for a Tripel

This Hound of Hades courtesy of bluesandbarbq. Pours a hazy orange-gold inferno with a wispy off-white head that disappears like an illusion. Aroma of light fruity hops and candy. Flavors of sweet fruit, almost soda-pop-like in its sweetness, but smooth and soft. Smooth mouthfeel, unexpected bitter hop finish.
