Well, first of all, this brew is a break from the infamous Oskar Blues Brewing Company and, in my opinion, this one just does not cut it. Aroma is a bit sweet first off with some light maltiness as well as some sweetness with hints of corn malt as well as some herbs in the aroma, too, that hints at DMS. Appearance is a shining golden yellow when held to the light with a head on top that is decent but dissipates quickly and is off-white in color and leaves even lacing on the glass. Mouthfeel is light-bodied and rather simplistic with some malty complexity as well as some hoppy balance with a palate that is a bit dry, but coating. Flavor is of some cereal malt, slight citrusy notes, with some hay and grain with an aftertaste that is light and watery and a bit bitter like grapes skins with some graininess with a finish that is clean but slightly "off" for some reason and I feel as if some infection is prevalent here even if it is just the draft lines or something more formidable like DMS. Overall, I will say this is a decent Summertime ale that is run-of-the-mill but not that challenging which makes it easy to quench a thirst on a hot day; a bit of a boring attempt here if I must break the news...stick to Dale's pale ale for this time of year...

Ah, this explains why this beer wasn’t the hugely impressive beer that the rest of Oskar Blues’ specialty beers have been. The style doesn’t allow for impressive beers. Still the solid session brew. Bright aroma and flavor with a bit of a citrusy character. Without the slight fruitiness I would have pegged this as a good pils (and if it had coriander to back up the citrusy notes, I would have pegged it as a thin, filtered witbier).
