The tastiest dark brew since the rollicking days of the infamous Donnybrook Fair, Donnybrook Stout offers unparalleled refreshment for an ale so deep in flavor and intrigue. Fresh, whole flower British and Slovenian hops provide the proper, earthy hint of 'the auld sod' while deep roasted barley and low alcohol keep Donnybrook Stout clean, smooth and flavorful. Served on mixture of 75% nitro and 25% CO2.

Meh. I had this beer at Beamer's in Roanoke, VA. It's just okay. I like the low abv, I thought the head was a tad thin. Color was nice, not as roasted as I would of liked.

Had this one at World of Beer and had to go back for another. Too bad they wouldn't let me buy the keg. Loved this one. A brownish black colored beer with a three finger frothy textured off whute head rising above. There's good hang time on this head. Settles into a moderate ringlet. The nose is is light cocai. The tasting more of the same along with a woodsy hoppiness. Light bodoes and so good.

On tap at Taco Mac, Midtown......This poured a solid black color with a perfectly squared off white head. You guessed it, NITRO! The aroma is that of coffee, licorice, and a hint of chocolate. This had some body for a nitro but the usual deal for a dry stout......thin body, tons of coffee, slightly bitter. Overall a nice beer but this style seems to be very redundant!

fairly standard nitro dry stout - a little disappointing after several other styles had been well above average. thin bodied, with not enough dryness or smoke. chocolate and a little roasted malt present. skippable.

Comes out of the tap a nearly opaque reddish sable with a thick, fairly persistent tan head. Aroma is richly of roast coffee and has just a hint of cinnamon. Flavor is surprisingly spicy and has a strong hoppy component, rather different from other stouts I have tasted. It has firm coffee and smoke components as well, plus a tiny metallic tinge - but the last may come from this particular batch. Texture is tingly and sharp, and just a teeny bit thin.

On tap at the Mad Mex. Very nice headdy pour, black and foamy, very appealing. Good roasty stout aroma. Like most notro brews, this stuff has tons of foam but not carbonation on the tongue, flat. Taste is typical original stoutish, roasty burned wood and such. Has a bitter charred log finish that hangs for a while.

Bottomline, this brew is very similar to a Guinness stout draught. The aroma is muted with some malt as well as coffee and chocolate coming through. The appearance is nitrous and a deep black in color and almost identical to Guinness with a tan head on top that remains throughout consumption. The mouthfeel is light-bodied but smooth with decent malt character with a palate that is coating. The flavor is chocolate as well as coffee-like with hints of sweetness with an aftertaste that is smooth and creamy with not much taste and a finish that is frothy and smooth. Overall, average brew here for sure and nothing much else; decent session stout here just like Guinness...

Sampled at the brewpub. Of course it's served with e nitrogen pour because, well, if Guinness does it, then everyone else has to as well. Still, this one manages to retain some flavor, which is a plus. Lots of roasted malts…to the point of being burnt tasting malts (which isn't all bad). Unfortunately, there is a fairly strong milky/lactic flavor that 9 times out of 10 I find distasteful, and this isn't the exception. I personally wouldn't go back, but worth a try if you dig this style.

Nitro tap at Victory. Beautiful black body with a creamy tan head. Light roasted malt nose. Not a whole lot anything else is evident. Roasted malt taste, along with typical coffee notes. Mouthfeel is smooth and light. Extremely drinkable. If you want a session stout, this is it. With the low ABV it's a light, tasty stout that begs to be consumed in mass quantities.

Poured a dark brown color with a medium sized, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of nuts, roasted barley, and a bit of chocolate. Mouthfeel was thin, taste was bland. Light cocoa, roasted barley, some vanilla, with a strong dry finish.
